Meet the Evolution

Hi and welcome. My name is Toya Roberts and welcome to The Elegant Evolution.

The Elegant Evolution is about redefining what it means to be a woman regardless of age. It’s about stepping into your power, embracing timeless style, and living with grace, confidence, and adventure.

When I was younger, my mother always celebrated me entering a new decade by outlining what that decade held. For example, when I turned 20, she told me that my twenties were for trying life out and making many mistakes. She likened it to constantly bumping your head against a wall. When I turned 30 she told me that the thirties were a time where you take all of the lessons you learned from the mistakes you made in your twenties and start defining your life. You begin to determine what fits and what doesn't. Similarly when I turned 40 she told me that now is the time that I will begin caring less and less about what others thought of me. She explained that I learned valuable lessons in my twenties, built my life and career in my thirties, and now I get to really be me. Basically she let me know that life doesn’t slow down at 40 or 50, or at any age—it becomes more exquisite. My mother passed away when I was 44. I never got the words of wisdom for my fifties. This creation, The Elegant Evolution, is my way of creating that same space my mother created for me, for other women.
